The team
Oral surgery is a short procedure surrounded by a lot of other things. Getting an insurance pre-estimate that means something. Being talked through what happens before anyone touches you. Having someone recognize your voice when you call on day three because something feels off.
That is the part a website usually skips, and it is the part patients remember.
This is a small practice, so there is no rotating cast. The person who books you is the person who sorts your billing. The assistant who settled you at the consultation is likely to be beside you on surgery day.
An assistant who has worked beside the same surgeon for years anticipates the next step instead of waiting to be asked. Procedures run shorter, and shorter procedures are easier to recover from.
Who we are
Four people, plus Dr. Harouni. Between them they cover the front desk, insurance, the operatory and your follow-up.
Laura is usually the first person you speak to, and her job is to take the friction out of everything that is not the surgery itself.
She handles insurance, works with referring offices, and is there on the day to help patients settle and feel less uneasy about what is ahead. Her favorite part of the job is watching a patient's face after a procedure is done, and seeing them get their life back.
Away from the office she works on her boat with her partner, and takes her parents out on trips.
Laura, thank you for everything you do. We are extremely fortunate to have you.
Shannon has worked as a Registered Dental Assistant for over 15 years.
She keeps current with dental technology through ongoing continuing education courses, which matters more in surgery than it sounds. Equipment and technique change, and the assistant beside the surgeon is part of how smoothly a procedure runs.
Her focus is on making you comfortable from the moment you walk into the operatory, which is generally the point at which nerves peak.
Thank you for everything, Shannon. We are grateful for all that you do.
Maricelia, known to everyone as Mari, is an oral surgery assistant with 15 years of experience in the field.
Mari plays a central role in keeping procedures running smoothly and safely, and is known in the practice for professionalism, attention to detail and clear communication.
Much of that work happens before anything starts. Mari talks patients through their concerns and takes the edge off the anxiety most people arrive with, which is why patients and colleagues alike tend to ask for Mari by name.
Monica works chairside as an oral surgery assistant, preparing the operatory, assisting during procedures, and taking patients through their aftercare instructions before they leave.

Patient feedback / 5.0 on Google
Great staff, caring doctors, and a front desk that knew what they were doing. Very minimal swelling and pain afterward.
The doctor and nurses made me feel comfortable during the consultation, so I went into surgery with confidence.
The office was welcoming and helped me through both the consultation and the surgery itself.
Individual results and recovery times vary. Reviews describe individual experiences and are not a prediction of outcome.
A consultation covers an examination, 3D imaging where it is indicated, the options that genuinely apply to your case, and a written itemized estimate. Nothing is treated on the first visit.
